It wasn't a pretty outing to kick off the 2023 football season. At least not for North Medford. The Black Tornado fumbled the ball on the opening play, setting the stage for a 27-7 drubbing at the hands of Tigard on Thursday night. On top of the game-opening fumble, Tigard scored off of two interceptions. The Tigers also had a reception touchdown from Nico Simonetti and a rushing touchdown from Jake Feist. The Tigers will stay at home next week against Sandy. The Black Tornado won't have much time to rest, as they must prepare for Class 5A's Bend next week.
