Mike McMahon of Tigard, who caught the year's first official spring chinook salmon last Saturday, will win the prize offered by Fisherman's Marine and Outdoors. This, despite McMahon not meeting the store chain's requirements — fish in the store, photo with a copy of the daily paper, etc. McMahon is stricken with terminal cancer and the fishing trip with his close friend, Todd Lindsay of Warren, and nephew, Matt McMahon, might have been his last.
