Trader Joe's sure does like October for openings. Almost exactly a year after its last Portland metro store opening, Trader Joe's will open another local store this week in Tigard. The store at 16200 S.W. Pacific Highway opens at 8 a.m. on Friday, the grocer said. "We've consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store in Tigard," the company said. "Please join Captain Jeff and Crew for the Grand Opening Celebration!" The captain is a store leader. Crew members do things like stock shelves and run registers.
