Tigard police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a 45-year-old woman who was hunting in the roadway for a thrown object. Police say the unidentified woman and her boyfriend were driving south on Southwest Hall Boulevard near Pfaffle Street and the Oregon 217 overpass about 8:53 p.m. Monday when an item of some sort was thrown from the car and the boyfriend stopped in the center lane to search for it.
