In Tigard By Paulina Aguilar Click here for updates on this story TIGARD, Oregon (KPTV) — Heavy winds are toppling trees across the Portland metro area as the holiday weekend approaches. From Sandy to Gresham and Beaverton to Clackamas. In Tigard, Chad Layman and his family were asleep when they heard a large crash at 6:15 a.m. Thursday. Initially they didn't know where the sound came from, but when they went into the bathroom, they found a 90 ft tree, a force was so great that it went through the roof, into the attic and into their second floor.
